About the Role


As our Brand Insights Monetization Lead for the Audiences & Analytics team for the Ads & Promo Platform, you’ll help our brand advertisers to understand more about their business and how they can grow the business with us. Your work involves determining how to gather relevant data about our advertisers in a scalable and sustainable way, analyze the information and break it down in a meaningful way to feed insights to the advertisers, develop the monetization strategy and assist its go-to-market implementation. You’ll be an integral part of a data-centric, fast-paced team solving critical business issues that propel our company forward.



What You Will Do

  • Use data to identify and lead initiatives that drive client and business strategy; find insights across various datasets; effectively synthesize results to influence a wide range of projects and initiatives within the company
  • Determine how to gather relevant data about our advertisers in a scalable and sustainable way, analyze the information and break it down in a meaningful way to feed insights to the advertisers, develop the monetization strategy and assist its go-to-market implementation
  • Identify opportunities based on obscure and original trends and insights; collaborate with appropriate subject matter experts and incorporate their input to propose solutions
  • Manage complex projects across cross-functional teams and clients; effectively communicate key findings, results, and next steps, providing actionable conclusions
  • Prioritize and efficiently manage multiple assignments, know when and how to say no, and set and meet deadlines
  • Understand and leverage existing business processes to help increase awareness and relevancy of recommendations
  • Communicate your findings and recommendations clearly and concisely with business stakeholders through various mediums (i.e. PowerPoint, Email, Dashboards, Excel)

What You Will Need

  • A Bachelor’s degree in Business, Marketing, or a relevant technical field
  • At least 5 years of experience as a Performance Analyst, Business Analyst, Growth Strategist, or a relevant role
  • Experience in performing analysis on diverse data sets with ability to connect business hypotheses and real world problems to data insights
  • Ability to translate verbal or written business problems into data solutions with a strong ability to interpret data signals and present to technical and non-technical audience Experience in using SQL and BI/Visualizations (Tableau, Qlik, Bigquery, Looker, Einstein Analytics, etc.) will be beneficial
  • Ability to distill problem definitions, models, constraints from informal business needs with strong analytical and problem-solving skills & Innovative mindset with an eagerness to learn
  • Ability to think strategically and operate effectively with your assignment team/ management
  • A data-driven mindset: You are relentless about digging into the data to discover insights and understand not just “what” the data tells but the “why” behind the numbers.

About the Team

The Advertising & Promo Platform (APP) group in Gojek is focused on providing relevant and targeted content for our users, while giving commercial value for our clients, ranging from small F&B merchants to international brand principals. We achieve this dual mission by leveraging our deep relationship with the users, and in turn, building high-return marketing campaigns with exceptional execution processes for our clients.

Our Audiences & Analytics team in the Advertising & Promo Platform (APP) group consists of 6 people who have diverse backgrounds, they are trained professionals who are leading individual streams. They are domain experts and are already executing based on the current plans. Our main goal is to increase the targeting abilities of advertisers, create reports that help advertisers track the progress of launched campaigns, and develop a suite of premium analytics/insights reports that incentivize advertisers to launch campaigns.

Our team works closely with product and data teams to create scalable and impactful analytics products, and work with key account managers, sales strategy, product marketing, and other stakeholders to design, create, and refine quantitative models tuned to deliver revenue-driving opportunities and recommendations. Our team has succeeded in completely integrating these models into existing business processes, and continues to drive success through close partnerships with our stakeholders.

We’re a fast-paced, high-functioning team who prioritizes teamwork and making work enjoyable. Working from home has been a strange time for a lot of us, so our team has been taking time on our calls to trade advice on the best ways to keep sane with this new work set up. Off hours, you’d probably find our team members watching the latest Netflix dramas, or out for a run around the neighborhood. Once COVID subsides, we’re excited to get together for our weekly dinner and drinks again.
