Budget and Reporting role is part of GrabMart Strategy and Planning team, which is a young, established, long standing team responsible for tailoring business strategy to to grow GrabMart business in every aspect. We make an impact by expanding the business thus helping the ecosystem to beneﬁt from it. Get to know the role
The role is a balance of advanced analytics and stakeholder management - leading day-to-day budget and financial performance coordination with related parties i.e., Marketing team, Operations team, Demand Growth Team, Category Team, while growing using data analyses to gain actionable insight (e.g., promo & incentive optimization, new revenue stream, merchant productivity, etc.) and working with cross-functional teams to drive execution.
The Day-to-Day Activities:
Act as the key finance partner for the sub-business team, city team and other supporting team
Own the forecasting and budgeting process
Independently build the financial model and templates
Responsible for reporting and follow up analysis towards performance, budget and forecast, both for overall Business performance, category breakdown performance, and city level performance
Drive business profitability and growth by analyzing revenues and costs as well as new initiatives and business cases
Proactively do deep dive or trend analysis to come up with recommendation to business
Lead project(s) and be the agent of change and improvement
Be adaptive and take on other areas or initiatives as required
Strong combination of business and operational hands on skills, get things done
Excellent excel knowledge and forecast model building
SQL is a plus
Financial mindset and easy to translate business questions into financial analysis
Independent work and driving ahead
Good communication and presentation skills
Strong integrity and not afraid to raise concern or opportunity
Possibly background in retail/start-up, and/or other finance/data driven role
